Trip to Texas

Well, I'm back from my trip to Texas, and I have a few pictures to share. If it wasn't two in the morning, I'd have more to say about the trip, but I am kind of tired (except my damn brain won't let me sleep until I do this).

This is one of my mum's cat, Mungojerrie (I think that's the right way to spell it... I'm not entirely sure). I call him Jer-Jer Binks. He's not much of a lover during the day, but be prepared for three am purrs for some reason.

Here's her other cat, Mikato (again, not sure about the spelling). We just call him Mic. He's more playful than Jer-Jer, and affectionate on his own terms.

I was in this pool pretty much every day... you have no idea how much I enjoyed that!

Yes, that's right... it says "Drive Thru Adult Drinks 2 Go". Seriously, this was a drive-thru margarita place. DRIVE THRU!? I'm telling you, Texas is a bit ass-backwards in my book.

Since we were so close to San Antonio, there was no excuse not to go to the real Alamo. I admit, I went more to be able to say I've been there, and not so much out of actual interest. It was interesting, though.

I was more interested in taking pictures of the local scenery than the building (also, pictures couldn't be taken inside the buildings).

What can I say, it was an interesting plant I saw.

I tried to get a good angle on this gigantic oak tree they had outside of the Alamo; apparently this was the first tree that was transported from one location to another post-growth. (Yes, I'm sorry, I didn't actually memorize the information they had about it...)

Ah, the joy of random plant pictures. It's some kind of flower that I don't know the name of... but it looked nice, okay?

Another flower that I do not know the name of...
